Hydrogen Peroxide 6% Food Grade (20 Vol) – Pure H2O2 for Cleaning, Laundry & Hydroponics
Description
ONYX Hydrogen Peroxide 6% (20 vol) is a high-purity, food grade hydrogen peroxide solution. It is twice the strength of 3%, so it suits tougher cleaning jobs, and you can dilute it with distilled water to make your own milder strength.
Popular uses
- Deep cleaning: grout, tiles, sinks, bins and hard surfaces
- Laundry: brightening whites and lifting organic stains (patch test coloured fabrics first)
- Garden and hydroponics: cleaning pots, trays and tools, and reservoir maintenance (follow your nutrient maker's guidance)
- Diluting to 3%: mix equal parts 6% and distilled water, often cheaper per litre than buying 3%
What does food grade mean?
Food grade describes the purity of the product. It does not mean it is safe to drink. Never swallow hydrogen peroxide at any strength.

6% (20 vol) is twice as strong as 3% (10 vol). It suits tougher cleaning jobs and hydroponics. Mix it 1:1 with distilled water to make roughly 3%.
What can I use it for?
Deep cleaning, whitening laundry, cleaning grout and hydroponic systems are the most popular uses.
Does food grade mean I can drink it?
No. Food grade describes the purity of the product, not that it is safe to swallow. Do not drink it, and keep it out of reach of children.
Is it safe to handle?
6% can cause serious eye irritation, so wear gloves and eye protection. Store it tightly closed in a cool, dark place, away from heat and sunlight.
