Vegetable Glycerine is a colourless, sweet liquid extracted from coconut and palm oil which is added to creams, lotions, bath salts and other formulations to give additional moisturisation. It is added to skin and hair care products and soap making as a lubricant and preservative. Our Vegetable Glycerine is 99.9% pure (as pure as it gets). Supplied in a tamper-evident container. What's the difference between VG and PG?
Vegetable glycerine (VG) is thick and slightly sweet. Propylene glycol (PG) is thinner and carries flavour well. Many DIY recipes use a mix of the two.
How should I store it?
Keep it tightly closed, as glycerine draws in moisture from the air. It thickens in the cold, so warm the bottle in warm water if it becomes hard to pour.
